Inspired by a story a friend of mine name Jim Pipkin shared -

In the mid-1940's California -a bunch of folks got sick eating jars of homemade, locally sourced honey they'd been sold. Upon investigation it was discovered the honey came from dead bodies in a cemetery that had been taken over by a large hive of vulture bees. Vulture bees make honey from rotting meat. It was rumored that the honey had a smokey flavor and was regarded as a delicacy- a delicacy that killed many of those who consumed it. The hive was eventually burned and the bodies exhumed from the cemetery, with the harvest sale of the honey linked to the caretakers of the cemetery.
